The Holy Mass by the newly ordained priest P. Kilian Deppisch FSO

On Tuesday, 5 August 2025 at 9 am, Pater Kilian Deppisch FSO celebrated his first Mass in our monastery church and imparted his blessing to us as a newly ordained priest.

Fr Kilian Deppisch FSO from Marktheidenfeld (Germany) was ordained a priest on the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (28 June 2025) in the parish church of St Gallus in Bregenz by the laying on of hands by Bishop Benno Elbs. Fr Kilian has been a member of the spiritual family “Das Werk” since 2016 and will serve as chaplain at the parish of St Sebastian in Feldkirch-Gisingen.

The old saying is certainly true: “To receive a blessing from a newly ordained priest, one must wear out a pair of shoes”. We are all the more grateful to Father Kilian for taking the time to bestow his blessing on our contemplative community and the many faithful present in our church. We accompany him in his priestly ministry with our prayers and also pray for new vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
